Like furoshiki, both are traditional Japanese pieces of cloth, but furoshiki are square wrapping cloths with hemmed edges, while tenugui are rectangular, very thin cotton towels with shorter edges that are raw and unstitched.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe shorter edges are deliberately left unhemmed so that the fabric can dry quicker.
