This yellow furoshiki is the sister to the turquoise furoshiki version. It features a sedge of cranes centred in a circular pattern. There is a lone crane at the corner, almost as if it is herding the rest of the group. Crane (Tsuru) patterns are a symbol of longevity and good fortune in Japan, and fables associate cranes with a life span of 1000 years. Traditionally it was believed folding 1000 origami cranes would bring good luck and the gift of a wish.

This furoshiki is perfect not only for wrapping bento boxes, but also for wrapping gifts during celebratory events like birthdays and weddings.
