This is a an elegant 2 tier bento box with gold printed sakura and momiji patterns on the lid. The patterns have been hand printed over several layers with 'Maki-e' gold powder, a traditional Japanese decoration technique. The simple design of this bento box masks a large capacity of over 1000ml split over the 2 layers. You only need to add your imagination to create a wonderful bento!

The top (455ml) and bottom (600ml) layers can also be used separately as 1 tier bento boxes if the need arises - that's form and function. 

The layers are able to be microwaved and dishwashed (without the inner lids which are made of a less temperature tolerant material), so you can enjoy your lunch time before, during and after your meal. 

This is a beautiful and functional gift with Japanese elegance.
