These chopstick rests are hand-crafted by Yosegi-Zaiku (Japanese marquetry), which combines the natural texture and colour of various wood to create a beautiful product for everyday use. Each rest has been assembled from carefully selected pieces of wood and then polished, creating a unique piece. Wood such as cherry, chestnut, cypress, beech, oak, cedar, birch, and ebony are used randomly to create each coaster.
The wood has been collected over time from wood materials from different industries across Japan. By highlighting the rich expression of natural wood and without relying on excessive ornamentation, these items embody a natural beauty.
Each rest coated with a 100% natural wax blend of beeswax and plant-derived oils.

- Note, as each rest is hand-made from manually selected wood, there will be differences in the wood tone of each coaster, as well as imperfections like tiny scratches or marks. This adds to the character of each rest.
- Hand wash with a soft sponge gently, then wipe dry quickly.
- Do not soak in water.
- If the shine fades or scratches become noticeable, apply a plant-based oil such as olive oil or camellia oil, then wipe it off with a dry cloth to restore the shine.
